Safety Policy

The safety of our clients, skippers and the general public is of the highest importance to Clyde Yachts. Nothing operationally or financially will hinder us from making considered decisions on all matters of safety.

We have an open and transparent attitude to input and comment from any body whether they are an enforcement agency, a client or an interested member of the public. We adopt this attitude because we are human and therefore imperfect making us subject to failure.

We will take all reasonable steps to ensure a safe environment for all to enjoy themselves and be safe from harm when attending any event connected to Clyde yachts.

We openly welcome comment, input or observation on any potential safety issues from anyone involved in our business be they clients, students, passengers or visitors to our business.

Our ‘Standard Operating Procedures’ document and ‘Risk Assessment’ paper giving the details of day to day operational safety issues, the actions to be taken minimise risk and the procedures in the event of an incident.

We endeavour to comply with the legislation pertinent to the operation of our fleet of commercial yachts and welcome any comments, observations or questions on the compliance to that legislation.

We take great care to comply with certification of safety equipment on board the fleet and welcome any queries on the paperwork required to operate our fleet.

Our 'Risk Assessment' Document and 'Standard Operations Procedures' documents are available on request.

Anyone who wishes to comment on any safety related matter should contact Colin Hamilton (Chief Instructor) who will more than welcome your input, observations or comment.
