Hi my name is Colin Hamilton, I am an RYA Yachtmaster Instructor and have been skippering vessels on the west Coast of Scotland for many years. I have been showing my beautiful country and it's sailing waters to hundreds of guests aboard our yachts for about 18 years.

I now have the best job in the world as I am continually surrounded by stunning scenery and wildlife while sailing, which I get to share with our many clients and friends, in the undisputed best sailing ground which is of course the West Coast Of Scotland.

A passion for the outdoors and a love of sailing motivated me to create this small bespoke company, which has become the premier adventure sailing facility in Scotland. The combined experience of our skippers and their knowledge of the cruising area assures you of an adventure or training experience with great outcomes.

What Do We Provide

Short Relaxing Cruises

3 to 5 day short cruises in the inner Hebrides and Clyde estuary.

Longer Adventure Sailing

5 to 10 Day tours of Scotland's beautiful Islands visiting the best anchorages and taking in the best of the wildlife and scenery. Each day departs from an anchorage or port with a destination in mind but very often as the day develops time can be diverted to spend time observing the wildlife en route or perhaps some additional training, but be assured the destination will always have your comfort and sustenance in mind. A Scottish welcome at each port will be combined with local fare and perhaps a visit to a Distillery, welcoming pub or restaurant.

Sail Training

'Clyde Yachts' has been recognised for many years as a training center for The RYA Yachtmaster training scheme. We now offer practical courses under the direction of our training partners 'Scotsail''. From Competent crew (For Beginners with know previous experience) through to Yachtmaster exam preparation courses our hand picked instructors dedicate themselves to you for the course..

Sailing should be fun - it should also be safe and challenging. We take great pride in the courses that we run. During the instruction, which we care greatly about. We also try to challenge the skills of our students, allowing them to try new ideas as well as developing their own knowledge and abilities.

CUSTOM TOURS

If you have something in mind that isn’t described in these pages, just let us know, and we'll do our best to accommodate. We can adjust for physical limitations or time restraints, or arrange additional Yachts if you’re part of a larger group.

Accomodation

Here is one of our double cabins aboard 'Bacchus' our beautiful Beneteau Oceanis 40. Ample room for stowage and a comfortable nights sleep or maybe somewhere to retreat and have some private time.
